1946 - Reno, NV.   The White Horse Bar opened at 6295 South Virginia Street, a bar that offered slots and 21 from 1946-1947, then again from 1956-1957. The gaming closed in April 1957.

1947 - Las Vegas, NV.   Big Hat Casino opens, Las Vegas Strip.

2023 - Reno, NV.   The Sands Regency Casino becomes the J Resort.

2022 - Friday

1992 - Rock Island, IL.   Rock Island casino opens.

1995 - Paradise Nevada.   The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Paradise, Nevada, is an entertainment resort owned and operated by Brookfield Asset Management and Warner Gaming, LLC.. The property is located on 16.7 acres on the corner of Harmon and Paradise Road, inside the Paradise Corridor.Features of the property include the hotel tower, a 30,000-square-foot casino, Tahitian-style beach and swimming pool, a nightclub, six restaurants, three cocktail lounges, several retail stores, a spa, a poker room, and "The Joint", a music venue. Hard Rock earns only about 30% of its revenue from gaming.

1997 - Maryland Heights, MO.   Harrah's casino opens.

1997 - Maryland Heights, MO.   Players Island casino opens.

2022 - Saturday

1946 - Reno, NV.   The U.S. 40 Tavern, 640 East Fourth Street, was licensed for slots and 21. The U.S. 40 Tavern retained it's name, in spite of changing owners several times, until 1967 when the name was changed to the Carnival Room.
